Hello everyone! We are excited to announce a series where we'll delve into the innovative world of sustainable materials in architecture. But first, let's tip our hat to a classic approach: upcycling and reusing.

What sets 𝘂𝗽𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴/𝗿𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴/𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 apart from recycling? While recycling often breaks materials down to their base form—a process that can guzzle energy, water, and emit carbon—upcycling and reusing morph existing materials into new products without degrading their quality or chugging resources.

Here’s a nugget to chew on: In some scenarios, 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟳𝟬% 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 than crafting from raw materials, ironically tarnishing its eco-friendly badge. Conversely, 𝘂𝗽𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗺 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟵𝟱% and significantly shrink landfill waste.
